You Won't Want To Miss This Year's Lake George Music Festival!

There Will be 9 Full Days of Amazing Performances, by Young Artists From All Over The World!

By Andrea Kelley August 11, 2022

Since 2011 The Carriage House at Fort William Henry has hosted the Lake George Music Festival. Described as "one of the nation's foremost classical music artist retreats" their mission is to advance, and re-imagine not only music, but the whole concert experience.

This year's Festival is no different! Kicking off yesterday, This year's Festival will be 9 days long, and chock-full of incredible talent, and music from all genres.

Founders Alex Lombard, Barbora Kolářová, and Roger Kalia, along with the rest of the dedicated Volunteers & Staff, work hard every year to make it a memorable experience for not only the artists, but those who attend!

There will be 14 different performances this year, followed by an After Party Reception at the Fort William Henry Hotel’s Tankard Tavern, with provided food and drinks. This event is only open to festival pass holders, donors, and host families.

You can view this year's concert lineup here.

What makes The Lake George Music Festival special, is they're not just a festival of performances. They do so much more!

A not-for-profit organization, they are devoted to offering a unique career development experience to talented young musicians. They do this through summer Internships, a young musician hosting program, and more!

Hosts are recruited throughout the year, and are matched with guests in August.  Hosts provide a place to sleep and practice. Every August, families in the Lake George area open their homes to Lake George Music Festival musicians. While some hosts are Festival volunteers or board members, many are local residents who just love music and musicians, or simply want to help bring something special to Lake George. You can learn more about this here.

Become a member of the Guild!

The Lake George Music Festival Guild is a volunteer organization formed to support the Festival’s mission by providing a welcoming atmosphere for the artists, and audience members who attend performances.

Some Guild membership perks include no membership fee, FREE concert tickets, exclusive Guild-only events inclusion, such as the August luncheon and a series of in-home concerts performed by festival musicians, and the opportunity to personally connect with musicians from around the world!
